The questions we get asked every day
Four things set the price: size, page count, paper and quantity. As a guide, 100 copies of a 16 page A5 stapled booklet on 170gsm uncoated is £138 (£1.38 a copy), and 100 copies of a 36 page A4 booklet with a laminated cover is around £368. Delivery and a file check are included, and there’s no VAT on booklets. The 12 click form above gets you an exact price the same working day.
Page counts run in multiples of four (8, 12, 16, 20 and so on) because each sheet folds to make four pages. Your cover counts as four of them. Stapling works beautifully up to about 64 pages on standard paper; beyond that we’d suggest perfect binding for a flat, square spine. Not sure? Send us your page count and we’ll advise.
Yes. We print single copies (a test copy before the full run is a smart move) and short runs of 25, 50 or 100 with no minimum. Unit price falls fastest between 50 and 250 copies, so ask for two quantities on your quote and compare.
Stapled (wire stitched) is the classic booklet: it opens flat, keeps the price down and suits programmes, brochures, lookbooks and catalogues up to about 64 pages. Perfect binding gives you a square, printable spine for longer booklets or anything that needs to look like a book on a shelf. Watch the three minute binding video above or read our saddle stitch vs perfect binding guide.
A print ready PDF from any program: Word, Canva, Affinity or InDesign. Supply single pages in reading order (not spreads, as we do the imposition), add 3mm bleed and keep text 5mm inside the trim. Not sure? Send what you have: a real person checks every file for free and tells you exactly what to change.
From proof approval: stapled booklets in three working days, perfect bound in five. UK delivery is by tracked courier, and we ship to the US and Europe at cost. Tell us your event or hand in date up front and we’ll say straight away whether it’s doable.
No. Printed booklets and brochures are zero rated in the UK, so the price we quote is the price you pay, with no 20% surprise at the end.
Photographs sing on 130gsm silk; text and illustration look lovely on uncoated. A 250 to 300gsm cover with matt lamination gives a booklet real presence in the hand. If you’d like to feel the difference before you decide, order free paper samples. Either way, you approve a proof before we print.
