As a renowned print specialist in music culture magazine printing, ExWhyZed loves the opportunity to work with unique publications like Moof Mag. The “Moof Mag Issue 8 Summer 2020” is a prime example of how we bring visions to life. Let’s delve into this case study to unveil the printing process of this unique magazine.
Moof Mag is a print magazine that caters to fans of psychedelic music, art, culture, and lifestyle. Every issue of Moof Mag is a celebration of the vibrant and eccentric psychedelic scene. The Summer 2020 issue featured contributions from artists across the globe, including the intricate art from Pinky Vision. The challenge was to translate this eclectic mix of content into a printed magazine that truly represented the essence of Moof Mag.
Our task was to create an A4 portrait book that retained the vibrant aesthetics of the content while ensuring the quality of the print. The 4-page cover was printed on 160gsm Evolution Uncoated paper in full colour on a single side. The 90-page text was printed on 90gsm Uncoated paper, with black print throughout to keep the focus on the art and content.
Following the printing process on our HP digital press, we trimmed, collated, and perfect bound the books. Perfect binding was chosen for its durability and professional appearance, and for those interested in learning more about this binding method, our perfect binding set-up guide is an invaluable resource.
