Marianne Dissard’s Unique Artistic Expression Through Concertina Postcards

Marianne Dissard, a French-born singer, lyricist, poet, filmmaker, and art performer, has always pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. Her vibrant and deeply personal work has captivated audiences worldwide. Ex Why Zed had the honour of bringing her creative vision to life with our concertina folded postcards. Each card was meticulously crafted to reflect Marianne’s unique aesthetic and artistic sensibility.

Capturing the Essence of Art in Print

The project involved creating 148x630mm concertina postcards folded to 148x105mm. Printed in full colour on both sides onto 300gsm Ensocoat (one sided gloss, one sided uncoated), the postcards were finished with a gloss lamination on the front. A perforation on each fold added a final touch of detail, enhancing the tactile experience of the postcards. The result was a striking visual narrative that perfectly encapsulated Marianne’s artistic journey.

When it comes to the intricacies of concertina folded postcards with perforation, Ex Why Zed is no stranger. Our experience with similar projects, such as the promotional concertina leaflets for Anise Gallery, the A2 folded to A5 posters for Made Brunel, and the concertina folded leaflets for Sukie Studio, has honed our expertise in this area. Furthermore, our work with zines like the one for Resistance Soffiya has enriched our understanding of the importance of print in the creative process.

A Confluence of Artistry and Expertise

Marianne’s concertina postcards project was not just about high-quality printing. It was a celebration of art and expression, a marriage of Marianne’s artistic flair and our print expertise. The success of this project underscores our commitment to helping artists, creatives, and businesses communicate their visions effectively through print. It is this dedication that has made us a preferred choice for clients across various sectors.

As Ex Why Zed continues to innovate in the realm of creative industry printing, we look forward to being a part of more such exciting projects. Whether it is concertina folded postcards with perforation or any other bespoke printing need, we are here to bring your vision to life.

Ex Why Zed makes self publishing a truly pleasurable experience!
Brilliant communication from start to finish. Mike had endless patience for the many questions we asked. The guides provided were easy to follow and super helpful (the video guides are a must watch too). Our order of hardback illustrated children's books was delivered expertly packaged and on time. As for the finished product itself - stunning - a real joy to finally hold, beautifully made and perfectly printed! We couldn't have asked for more. Well, we did - we instantly placed an order for paperback children's colouring books too, which we are equally as happy with. Look forward to working with Ex Why Zed again in the future.
