The artistic genius behind So Young Zine brings their narratives to life in the most mesmerising way. From Milica Golubovic’s stunning portfolio of illustrations to Alv Skog’s exquisite tribute to Aretha Franklin, each piece creates a harmonious blend of visual artistry and narrative depth.

Issue Seventeen takes us into festival season with Courtney Barnett on the print … be released, and So Young got in touch to talk to him about.

Featuring  Courtney Barnett, IDLES, Matt Maltese, Hotel Lux, Hinds, Boy Azooga, Iceage, Bodega and more.

The print version of Issue Eighteen features Sports Team, Amyl and the Sniffers, Slaves, Sleaford Mods, Gently Tender, Our Girl, Fontaines D.C. and more.

A Continuum of Creativity

The magic of the So Young Zine extends far beyond its own pages. At Ex Why Zed, we’re committed to fostering a creative continuum where each print project carries its unique vibe and flair. Our portfolio overflows with compelling stories, from the expressive artistry of the That Was What She Said Zine, the rebellious soul of the No Cold Callers, the indie spirit of the Bristol Germ Issue 2, to the rock ‘n’ roll rhythm of the George Ezra Gold Rush Kid Album Zine.

At Ex Why Zed, every project adds a unique note to our creative orchestra. Our collaboration with So Young Magazine didn’t end with Issues 17 and 18. We continue our melodious journey with the fantastic So Young Issue 29, creating yet another rhythmic masterpiece.

The energetic Shellsuit Zombie is a fine testament to our versatility, bringing a unique blend of design and content to our repertoire of zine printing. We delved into the nostalgic essence of skateboarding culture with the Same Old Skateboard Magazine, rekindling memories and sparking inspiration.

Unleashing the Creative Boundaries

Our portfolio extends beyond zines, embracing diverse creative landscapes. For example, we made a splash in the fashion realm with the elegant Stella McCartney Sport Lookbooks, where each page exuded sophistication and style.

In our endeavour to discover and celebrate new talents, we joined forces with Vevo for the Vevo DSCVR Ones To Watch Magazines. The project was a refreshing journey into the world of emerging music talents, underlining our prowess in music zine printing.

One of our most heartfelt projects is the Lost and Found Magazine, an endearing journey into personal narratives and human connections.

Through these varied projects, we’ve pushed the creative boundaries of zine printing, proving that every story, every artwork, every idea has a place in the printed world. It’s your turn to join us in this vibrant journey. Let’s bring your creative vision to life!

Brilliant communication from start to finish. Mike had endless patience for the many questions we asked. The guides provided were easy to follow and super helpful (the video guides are a must watch too). Our order of hardback illustrated children's books was delivered expertly packaged and on time. As for the finished product itself - stunning - a real joy to finally hold, beautifully made and perfectly printed! We couldn't have asked for more. Well, we did - we instantly placed an order for paperback children's colouring books too, which we are equally as happy with. Look forward to working with Ex Why Zed again in the future.
