Sheffield Hallam University’s BA Photography course is renowned for its commitment to creativity and innovation. The course’s culmination, the annual degree show, is a testament to the students’ hard work and talent. In 2021, the degree show was encapsulated in the beautifully printed BA Photo Catalogues, a project that Ex Why Zed was proud to be a part of.
The BA Photo Catalogues were not just a collection of photographs; they were a celebration of the students’ journey through the course. Each page was a testament to the skills they had acquired and the artistic vision they had developed. The catalogues were printed as 240x170mm Case Bound Books, with the cover made from Wibalin Natural Green WBN552. The cover was adorned with Foilco 485 foiling, wrapped over a greyboard case. The catalogues contained 184 inside pages printed onto 170gsm Silk in four colour print, and were case bound for a professional finish.
The BA Photography course at Sheffield Hallam University equips students with both digital and traditional photographic analogue skills. They learn digital capture and production, image management and manipulation, using industry-standard equipment. The course encourages students to take risks in a highly creative environment, developing their understanding and knowledge of the medium to enable them to fulfil their potential in the constantly-evolving discipline of photography.
The BA Photo Catalogues 2021 were a reflection of this learning process. They showcased the students’ ability to solve problems, manage complex projects, and communicate their ideas effectively. Each photograph was a testament to the students’ distinctive, independent approach to a wide range of photographic contexts.
The catalogues were not just a testament to the students’ talent but also to the quality of Ex Why Zed’s degree show catalogue printing services. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products, Ex Why Zed ensured that each catalogue was printed to perfection, accurately representing the students’ work.
The Sheffield Hallam University BA Photo Catalogues 2021 were a significant part of the art exhibition in Sheffield. They allowed visitors to take a piece of the exhibition home with them, serving as a lasting reminder of the talent
