Art is an immersive experience that invites audiences into diverse worlds and narratives. “Caught in the Net,” an exhibition showcased at the JGM Gallery, offered a profound glimpse into Aboriginal artistry. Showcasing the rich heritage and talent of Aboriginal artists, the exhibit brought forward an array of indigenous storytelling traditions, and Ex Why Zed helped cement this legacy with their premium quality artist catalogue printing.
Ex Why Zed, an acclaimed UK-based printing company, prides itself on its ability to produce high-quality, professional art catalogues. The secret sauce to the “Caught in the Net” catalogue was the use of their HP Indigo digital press. Ex Why Zed’s vast experience in London art gallery book printing was employed to deliver an art catalogue that showcased the richness of Aboriginal artistry in all its brilliance.
The catalogue beautifully encapsulated the essence of the exhibition, creating a visual symphony that accurately represented the diverse range of artworks showcased. The catalogue adhered to the unique ‘house’ style of JGM’s catalogues, demonstrating Ex Why Zed’s flexibility and understanding of their client’s needs. This was the latest in JGM’s series, and as always, it was a testament to their commitment to representing art in its most authentic and immersive form.
The printed catalog was a 254x203mm (10×8″portrait orientation. The 4pp cover was printed onto 300gsm Silk, with a Matt Lamination to the outer. The 66pp text was printed onto 150gsm Silk, culminating in a four colour print throughout. After trimming, collating, and perfect binding, the resulting catalogue was a compelling reflection of the “Caught in the Net” exhibition.
Just like the “Caught in the Net” exhibition, Ex Why Zed has been a part of numerous other noteworthy art book projects. Their artist catalogue printing expertise has been evident in projects like “Gerrish Fine Art: Brave New World”, “Sabina Savage Collection Lookbooks”, “Frank Bowling Catalogues: Hales Gallery”, “Shelving the Body by Soapbox Press”, “Tadesse Mesfin Fine Art Catalogues”, and “Julian Page Fine Art”.
